Planet Interactive's Higher-Education client is in need of a dynamic and detail-oriented Web Content Developer and Migrator for a month 3-month assignment starting in November 2024!
The Web Content Developer and Migrator will write, edit, and develop website content that will motivate users to regularly access the site to learn or do things they find valuable. May develop content to promote a new program, service or offering or to explain policy, process or procedure aimed at reducing customer service burden on the client's department or program. May migrate large volumes of content to a new information architecture, website or web publishing platform. May write help text, self-service prompts or instructions, FAQs, blog posts, catalog entries, profiles, stories or announcements.

The Web Content Developer and Migrator will write, edit, and develop website content that will motivate users to regularly access the site to learn or do things they find valuable. Web Content Developer and Migrator Responsibilities:
- Creating updated website structure in coordination with the client's Web Publishing (HWP) and the HSAS Steering Committee using a clone of the 2024 website.
- Creating a timeline for website build phases aligned with HSAS submissions deadline and launch dates.
- Populating the site with artwork and artist information using existing templates for virtual galleries, artwork posts, and artist pages.
- Updating artwork gallery themes as needed in coordination with the HSAS Steering Committee.
- Updating information on key pages (About, Contact, Call for Submissions, Digital Accessibility Guidelines, etc.) in coordination with HSAS Steering Committee.
- Adding HSAS local shows, events, press coverage, and other content as needed.
- Following HSAS and University-wide digital accessibility guidelines.
- Working closely with Graphic Design lead to obtain new visuals for the site.
- Working closely with Accessibility lead to ensure that all artworks have appropriate alt text, captions, and transcripts as needed.
- Updating website “How to” guides as needed.
- Reviewing all site pages before going live.
- Ensuring all links are functional before going live.
- Testing site on different devices to ensure responsiveness to varying screen sizes.
- Communicating with CampusPress support to resolve any technical issues.
- Communicating with CampusPress support to resolve any technical issues.
- Managing Google analytics and generating reports.
- Familiarity with web design. Experience with WordPress strongly preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Excellent time management and project management skills.
- Flexibility and openness to feedback.
- Strong communication skills.
- Graphic design experience is a plus.
