Welder Fabricator - Construction - Base Salary to 27.00/hour - Denton, TX

• Our client who has been in business over 75 years and growing quickly is looking to add talented Welder Fabricators to their team. This position focuses on MIG welding only, and the Welder Fabricator will be responsible for advanced fabrication tasks, including welding metal structures and components according to precise blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will have experience working with light and heavy gauge materials, and a strong commitment to safety and quality.

Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG welding on light and heavy gauge materials, ensuring all welds meet AWS standards.
• Interpret blueprints, diagrams, and specifications to determine the correct welding process for each project.
• Measure, cut, and assemble metal components accurately, ensuring proper fit and alignment.
• Weld, grind, and finish metal structures to meet structural soundness and quality standards.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet the required specifications and are structurally sound.
• Label fabricated parts properly and maintain a detailed time log of work progress.

Qualifications:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience: 5+ years of fabrication experience with proficiency in MIG welding of light and heavy gauge materials.
• Skills: Ability to read blueprints, measure accurately, and perform grinding and finishing according to AWS standards.
• Language: Fluent in English; Spanish speaking skills are a plus.
• Certifications: Welding certifications (AWS or equivalent) preferred.
• Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods.

Compensation:

• Base salary in the 24.00 - 27.00/hour range
