About the Job
ESSENTIAL DUTIES...
Minimum of two years welding experience OR a welding certificate from an accredited weld school.
Must perform tasks safely as instructed orally and in written format
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. without assistance
Ability to read measuring tapes and calipers
Must have knowledge of the metric system
Must have an acceptable background check
NAVSEA experience is a plus
Fitting experience is a plus
Compensation
Bonus $2,500.00 after passing FCAW all positions unlimited thickness, GMAW Spray 2G, GMAW Pulse 2G, 3G, 4G, and Welder Workmanship Training tests within thirteen days
Bonus $2,500.00 after passing a satisfactory 90-day review with no disciplinary write ups and with good attendance measured by company guidelines.
Welders starting rate $26.50

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED required; three years related experience.
TRAVEL
Ability to travel out of state for training as needed.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read, write and understand oral and written instructions, information gathered from meters, dials, calibrated scales, visual display units. Ability to receive and understand instructions via radio or phone. Ability to summarize verbal instructions.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to perform basic math calculations and analyze written basic numerical information; use ruler, scales and other physical measuring instruments.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to follow instructions, in a logical order, given in oral, written, or diagram form. Ability to apply quality standards against product and determine if defective and degree of defect. Ability to compile gathered information. Ability to solve practical problems with common sense.
