WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Essential Duties:
- Work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to weld using various materials and techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints.
- Ability to interpret weld symbols.
- Must be able to perform all work allocated.
- Complete talks while ensuring performance targets and quality are met.
- Rig, assemble, and weld pipe threading as needed.
- Weld components in flat, vertical, or overhead positions.
- Must be able to work with minimum supervision.
Requirements
Skills and Experience:
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Two to three years of welding experience in a manufacturing environment with thorough knowledge of all types of welding procedures and practices.
- Familiarity with power tools.
- Computer and organizational skills.
- Have good interpersonal and communications skills.
- Previous experience with 5S and lean manufacturing would be considered an asset.
- Goal orientated and motivated to achieve tasks within set timelines.
- This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. Must be able to lift and/or move items over 25lbs.
