About the Job
Job Summary:
The Welder Foreman’s role is to assist the General Foreman in the management of the welding and fabrication department.
Essential Functions:
- Support all TTI/FSS Company Safety Policies to ensure they are followed.
- Read, review, and interpret blueprint drawings
- Read and interpret WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications).
- Working knowledge and experience in SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, and SAW.
- Previous heavy structural steel, bridge, and tank work.
- Set up equipment including leads, suitcases, and weld machines.
- Troubleshoot weld machines.
- Follow D1.1 and D1.5 code work.
- Understand and use weld gauges.
- Guide, coach, and develop members of the welding team.
Additional Duties:
- Additional responsibilities or duties may be required as needed in support of company operations.
Quality Standards
Must be able to read and understand drawings and cuts. Will ensure all established welding procedures are followed.
Teamwork
Teamwork is essential in this position and the Welding Foreman must have a positive attitude and be able to work effectively with all departments, managers, and staff.
Actively participate in Safety meetings and promote company safety culture while working closely with the safety department.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills, keen attention to detail

- Experience working in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
Education and/or Experience
- High School Diploma
- 5 years’ experience in the welding field (Required)
- Previous welding supervisory roles (preferred)
Language Skills
Must be able to communicate in a professional manner and show respect both orally or in written form effectively with co-workers, other departments, and managers.
