Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is seeking an experienced Windows 11 Deployment Specialist for a contract assignment with one of our premier Financial Services clients in lower Manhattan, NYC. Location: Onsite 5 days per week plus occasional nights and weekends.
This is a temporary 3-month contract, intended to be an interim role, ideal for someone in between engagements!

Responsibilities:
Windows 11 Deployment:
- Configure, image, and deploy Windows 11 desktops and laptops following company standards.
- Collaborate with IT teams to ensure smooth and efficient rollout processes.
- Customize system settings and software installations according to user needs.
- Provide technical support to end-users during the deployment process.
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues on Windows 11 machines.
- Maintain detailed records of deployments, configurations, and issue resolutions.
- Report on the progress of deployment and any challenges encountered.
- Respond to and remediate desktop issues identified by vulnerability management tools such as Tenable.
- Apply security patches and software updates to address vulnerabilities.
- Proven experience in deploying and managing Windows 11 desktops and laptops.
- Strong understanding of Windows operating systems and software installation.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and collaborate effectively with IT teams.
- Must be able to work some nights and weekends.
- Financial Services experience.
- Experience with scripting (e.g., PowerShell) for automation of deployment tasks.
- Knowledge of IT security best practices and risk mitigation.
- Familiarity with Active Directory, Group Policy, and endpoint management tools.
- Familiarity with vulnerability management tools like Tenable, with experience in addressing desktop vulnerabilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified: Windows Client, or equivalent (a plus).
