Wireless Tower Technician at Strategic Direct Solutions

We are looking for tower climbers in the Telecommunications field in Syracuse, New York. This is a full time, direct hire, permanent position with benefits.

*Must possess a valid drivers' license, pass a background check, as well as a 5-panel drug screen. 

Location: Syracuse, New York

Pay: BASED ON EXPERIENCE $25-35/hr.

Tower Climber Duties

• Assemble, erect, maintain and repair antenna towers and accessories
• Install equipment and accessories on towers such as antennas, amplifiers, and transmission lines
• Inspect towers for damage and deterioration
• Conduct visual inspections and use test equipment to identify and locate tower defects
• Climb towers and ladders to reach work area
• Plan and coordinate work activities
• Adhere to safety regulations
• Operate specialized equipment and vehicles

Tower Climber Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work at heights
• Ability to climb ladders and towers
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

Tower Climber Skills

• Excellent physical strength and endurance
• Knowledge of rigging and hoisting equipment
• Good sense of balance
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions
• Ability to understand and follow safety regulations
