Jennifer Young, CEO of Young Viper Gear LLC is seeking a full-time Director of Operations to help her improve conversions on the company’s impressive library of 900 Amazon products listings.

Young Viper Gear LLC is looking for a seasoned Director of Operations located on the west coast to lead the company's Amazon-focused operations. As a key player in the leadership team, you will directly manage a team of five and be responsible for ensuring smooth daily operations while implementing long-term strategic plans. This role will focus on driving executional excellence, from optimizing supply chains to enhancing Amazon marketing strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and growth targets.
In this role, you’ll leverage your operational expertise to help scale the company from $20 million in annual revenue to 9 figures, enhancing both efficiency and effectiveness across departments. You’ll work closely with teams in China, aligning processes and ensuring seamless collaboration. Responsibilities (tasks associated with the role)
Operations Management
- Oversee day-to-day operational activities, ensuring efficient management of teams, workflows, and project execution.
- Develop and optimize Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for various departments to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Manage the performance of direct reports and implement strategies to enhance overall team productivity and accountability.
Strategic Planning & Execution
- Execute the company’s strategic initiatives, supporting the CEO in turning high-level visions into actionable plans.
- Lead the development and implementation of operational frameworks such as OKRs, EOS, or 4DX, ensuring processes are scalable and sustainable.
- Create annual and quarterly plans to drive operational efficiency and oversee the integration of new business units and divisions.
Cross-Functional Team Leadership
- Manage five direct reports, primarily in the Amazon product division, and split management duties across marketing, sales, and logistics.
- Set performance goals, oversee dashboards, and ensure each team’s operations align with overall company objectives.
- Lead HR tasks, including performance reviews, team discipline, and compensation planning, with a dotted line to the HR department.
Process Optimization
- Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency, driving cost optimization across the supply chain and operations.
- Oversee the optimization of Amazon marketing strategies, including managing listings, improving conversion rates, and enhancing product visibility through Amazon’s marketplace tools.
Cross-Cultural Collaboration
- Ensure seamless collaboration with international teams, especially those based in China, adapting management styles to cross-cultural dynamics.
- Facilitate regular team meetings across time zones, ensuring clear communication and maintaining relationships with the international team.
- Be flexible with scheduling, including late-night meetings to accommodate global time zone differences.
Supply Chain & Logistics Management
- Oversee shipping cost optimization and supply chain management to ensure products are delivered efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to prepare for product launches and implement marketing strategies that boost visibility and sales.
Team Growth & Leadership Development
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Lead and coach team members, ensuring professional growth and alignment with the company's mission and values.
- Drive team expansion, including leading hiring efforts and building team capabilities to match business growth from 20 to 40 employees.
Requirements (expected proficiencies to excel in this role)
- 5-7 years of experience in operations management
- Proven experience scaling operations for companies from 20-40 employees and achieving 8 to 9 figures in revenue.
- Strong background in project management, process optimization, and dashboard creation.
- Leadership experience, with a proven ability to manage teams and drive results.
- Experience working cross-culturally with international teams, particularly in China.
- High emotional intelligence (EQ)
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive approach
- Ability to engage in direct communication
- Structured and process-oriented
- A drive to get things done and hit targets
- Ability to concentrate on specific tasks and projects, and see them through completion.
- Preferred: Experience with OKRs, EOS, 4DX, or Amazon aggregator experience.
- Preferred: A parent who understands family-oriented products.
Working Hours & Location
This is a remote role. Flexibility is required to work across time zones, with regular working hours to overlap with the team in China (9:30 AM-6:30 PM China time / 6:30 PM-10:30 PM PST). There is a strong preference for someone working within the PST time zone.

Offer Details
This is a full-time, remote, employee position.
Pay is between $130,000-$150,000/year based on experience.
