Back Of The House Team Member
Department: Kitchen
Reports to: Kitchen Manager
Summary
Full Time and Part Time positions available! An experienced cook focusing on Gourmet Burgers in a high volume atmosphere. Someone who can accurately and efficiently prepare hot food products. Also perform other duties in the areas of food and final plate preparation.
Principal Activities & Responsibilities
- Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items using recipes for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment
- Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures
- Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment
- Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed
- Opens and/or closes the kitchen properly and follows the closing check-list for kitchen stations. Assists others in closing the kitchen
- Performs related duties such as helping to wash dishes as needed, preparing recycling, cleaning around restaurant and help with any other projects as assigned by the kitchen manager
Job Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of line cook experience
- Work at a very high volume pace
Working Conditions & Environment
- Must be able to handle high volume
- Must be able to maintain a high level of sanitation/cleanliness in area
- Is required to work all shifts, weekends, holidays (except Christmas & Thanksgiving) and special events as needed
Mandatory Requirements
- Must obtain a food workers permit
- Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
