About the Role:
Selectek is seeking a dedicated A&E Project Manager/Engineer to join our team. This role involves providing engineering, site design, and zoning support for telecom projects while serving as the primary PM/PE on multiple projects. If you have a strong background in wireless telecommunications and possess the required qualifications, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple projects as the primary PM/PE.
- Supervise designers and drafters.
- Research and review jurisdictional requirements related to site design for Zoning and Engineering drawings.
- Ensure A&E deliverables are completed according to agreed timelines.
- Serve as the primary resource for designs, calculations, revisions, and markups.
- Self-perform CAD work, including revisions and updates.
- Maintain accuracy in project tracking systems, including third-party management systems.
- Assist in coordination of site acquisition, zoning, A&E services, permit approval, and construction.
- Validate consistency of drawings against structural analysis and application.
- Upload and send deliverables to appropriate clients and databases.
- Coordinate and expedite drawing production, including client communication, QC, and revisions.
- Develop drawing standards and templates for personal and department use.
- Participate in meetings and conference calls, maintaining clear communication on projects.
- Conduct occasional site audits on active and non-active construction sites.
- Attend A&E Site Walks to collect relevant site information.
- Develop and maintain accurate and complete project folders.
- Foster strong working relationships with team members, clients, vendors, and jurisdictions.
- Provide financial administration support such as billing, PO tracking, and vendor invoices.
Qualifications:
- BS in Electrical, Civil, or Structural Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- PE registration required, with the ability to obtain multiple state registrations.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in wireless telecommunications preferred.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or similar software.
- Proficiency with MS Office Suite (particularly Excel) and Internet applications.
- Knowledge of local jurisdictions and building permit processes preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and self-starter attitude.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Excellent oral, written, and organizational skills.
- Must be eligible to work for any US employer without visa sponsorship.
