About the Job
The selected individual will work directly with the Accounts Payable manager on accounts payable functions and activities related to the accounts payable department.
Qualifications
- Requires High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Requires basic knowledge of the computer, fax machine, calculator and copier.
- Requires ability to use calculator occasionally to perform accounts payable batch balancing for Accounts Payable Clerk.
- Requires general knowledge and understanding of departmental activities and procedures.
- Requires detailed knowledge of matching remittance invoices to checks.
- Requires ability to understand and maintain complete filing system.
- Good organizational and time management skills, attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions and Physical and Sensory Requirements for All Job Functions as outlined below.
Essential Job Functions
- Directly responsible for opening, sorting and stamping all incoming mail.
- Directly responsible for copying and sending demand and corporate batches to the facilities on a weekly basis.
- Directly responsible for accurately filing paid documents and maintaining records up through record destruction.
- Directly responsible for year-end boxing and storage of files.
- Directly responsible for creating and labeling new files during the year and at year-end.
- Responsible for other duties and special projects related to accounts payable as assigned by direct or indirect supervisor.
