Job Description:
This position serves as a full-time Aircraft Maintenance Technician for Avex Aviation's part 145 repair station. The Technician will be responsible for all aspects of maintaining our customers TBM Aircraft in accordance with Manufacturer instructions company policy all applicable FARs. This includes maintenance, inspection, and repair of the company's aircraft, special tools, and ground support equipment. Safety will be the primary consideration while ensuring compliance with all State and Federal regulations & company policy.
As an aircraft technician at Avex, you will:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair TBM aircraft in a FAR part 145 environment: in coordination with lead technicians and maintenance management as applicable.
- Ensure the cleanliness of work areas.
- Assist with the movement and marshaling of aircraft including towing.
- Assist with all job duties assigned to aircraft detailing technicians when necessary.
- Assist with maintenance and repair of ground support equipment when necessary.
- Develop and maintain a cohesive and cooperative teamwork environment with all departments and employees.
- Maintain knowledge of flight schedules and project statuses daily and ensure production schedules meet delivery dates.
- Secure hangar, ramp, and aircraft at end of shift, when required.
- Complete work orders, order aircraft parts, manage jobs with available billable time.
- Ability to attend required training events on airframe, engines, and equipment.
- Assist the Maintenance lead technicians and/or managers when required with additional duties.
As an aircraft technician you must be capable of the following:
- Must be willing to work in an environment that is subject to changing climate conditions and moderate noise levels.
- Must have problem solving and organizational skills.
- Must be able to read and understand Company and Manufacturer Manuals.
- Must be able to perform all line maintenance functions unsupervised at any time.
- Must be able to lift and move items of 70 pounds or more on a regular basis.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to bend and/or squat repeatedly and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to work in and around an aviation hangar, and have knowledge of airport rules, including ramp and aircraft movement areas.
- Working environment includes area of moving mechanical parts, equipment, and various chemicals and fumes.
- Physical activity may require entering confined spaces.

Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma, or possession of a G.E.D. certificate.
- A&P license.
- Current and valid Driver's License.
- Must be able to work Monday-Friday.
- Fluent in English.
- Possesses basic computer literacy and can learn industry software applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior FAR Part 91, 135, or 145 experience
- Experience with Turbo Prop aircraft (King Air, PC-12, or similar)
- Pratt & Whitney PT6 engine experience
- Experience as a floor inspector in a Part 121, 135, or 145 environments.
- I.A. license/Previous I.A. experience
- Engine rigging skills
- Sheet metal skills
- General aviation background

32 - 44 USD per hour(CMA)
