Job Summary:

This includes organizing his/her work plan in an efficient and resourceful manner. The A&P Mechanic is responsible to work in a safe manner, eliminating waste, and delivering a quality product on time.

Job Summary:
The A&P Mechanic is responsible to perform aircraft maintenance and/or repairs within estimated time in accordance with applicable FAA, and customer standards of quality. The A&P Mechanic is responsible to work in a safe manner, eliminating waste, and delivering a quality product on time.
Responsibilities:
As an experienced A&P Mechanic, you are qualified to:
- Perform such typical maintenance operations as the removal and replacement of aircraft and powerplant components that require bolting, torquing, adjusting, rigging, and safety wiring to include powerplant, and flight control removal/installation.
- Troubleshoot, repair, clean, service, inspect, modify, replace, and/or overhaul aircraft and aircraft systems using approved data to ensure airworthiness.
- Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
- Perform work within estimated hours.
- Follow all safety procedures and specifications.
- Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.
- Use and operate ground support equipment, as applicable and if qualified, in a safe manner.
- Work with little or no supervision and accomplish assignments with little or no rework.
- Assist other employees in the performance of their job assignments through coaching, counseling, and guidance.
- Interface effectively with members of management, other departments, and co-workers.
- Perform other work as instructed by the A&P Lead, if qualified.
- Act as an A&P Lead when required and if qualified for the position.
MINIMUM:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate.
- Must provide own tools as indicated on company tool list.
- Language (read, write, speak, and understand English)
PREFERRED:
- Two (2) years aircraft maintenance experience on heavy transport category aircraft.
- Subject to noise in excess of 85 dB
- Be able to bend, stoop, kneel, and/or stand for prolonged periods of time and climb ladders and/or service stands.
- May be exposed to hazardous chemicals and requires the use of all safety equipment.
- Must be able to breathe through a full-face respirator.
- Job required participation in the DOT random drug and alcohol testing program.
- Normal or corrected hearing.
- Capable of lifting fifty (50) pounds.
- Minimum visual acuity of 20/40 corrected.
