Title: A&P Mechanic - Hydraulic Back Shop
Position Status: Full-Time
Work Schedule: Regular hours are Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30 am - 4:00 pm. Employees may need to adjust work hours during surge situations.
Brief Job Description:
The A&P Mechanic performs and oversees basic or unit level maintenance to include but not limited to scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a Part 145 and Part 135 setting. The responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks related to aircraft maintenance, with a focus on hydraulic component servicing, rebuilding, and overhaul.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Inspects and repairs aircraft parts, components, and systems per FAA regulations, OEM Guidance, DMWR's, MEO's and Axxeum's RSQCM.
- Provides lower-level technicians guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures, according to directives, technical manuals, work standards, and operational
- Prepares evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities.
- Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft systems and subsystems including but not limited to instrumentation, avionics, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, hydraulics, engines, auxiliary power unit, ventilation, and heating systems.
- Update and maintain maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books, regulatory updates, and other technical directives.
- Clean and maintain interior and exterior of aircraft.
- Assist in coordination of aircraft maintenance
- Maintain upkeep of work area, materials, and tools.
- Prepare and maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and policy.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:
- Must have at least five (5) years of experience in general or military aircraft maintenance.
- Must have Aviation mechanic certificate with Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) Ratings
- Hydraulic Back Shop Experience Required.
- Should have at least one (1) year of experience working in a 145 Repair Station.
- Should have High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical or Military School is desired
- Must have working knowledge of aviation publications including electronic manuals, drawings, blueprints, microfilm, diagrams, and schematics.
- Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior at all times when dealing with co- workers, customers, and all levels of management.
- Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are Required
Physical Requirements:
Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to: bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/move items frequently over 20 pounds. Occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull/move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.
Work Environment:
The environmental characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar, warehouse setting, office setting and/or outdoors. Candidates should be able to adapt to environments listed. There may be momentary exposure to high noises, exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents, and Personal Protection Equipment may be required for certain tasks. This position requires being able to work comfortably outdoors and may be exposed to hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
