Primary Purpose of the Position This position works as a team member performing inspections, repairs, and preventative maintenance on Corporate and General Aviation aircraft. The successful candidate will possess the appropriate personality to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a constant focus on safety and quality.
Essential Functions
- Perform efficient troubleshooting, aircraft maintenance, and repair in accordance with applicable regulations, manufacturer’s instructions, and company policies.
- Ensure consistent, accurate aircraft maintenance records by properly documenting & completing required forms, computer entries, and logbook entries.
- Follow all policies and procedures.
- Keep a clean and orderly work environment.
- Perform job duties in a safe manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Airframe and Power plant (A&P) Certificate
- Two or more years of General Aviation and / or Corporate aircraft maintenance experience
- Knowledge and understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and manufacturer manuals.
- Possess adequate tools.
- Valid driver's license with good driving record.
Preferred Qualifications: Avionics experience.
Work Hours:
Your work week would be Monday through Friday: 8-430 PM. As a condition of your employment, you will be required to participate in the AOG / On Call program. You will receive training to perform Airline On-call maintenance. The duration is for 7 days. Callout pay plus your hourly rate of pay as required by state law will be provided for Call Out work.
Reports to: Director, Maintenance
Supervisory Responsibility: This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
FLSA Status: This position is nonexempt.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is exposed to wet and/or humid conditions including extreme heat and cold; high, precarious places; outside weather conditions and vibration; chemicals including aviation fuels and oils. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
Travel: This position may require minimal travel.
Physical Requirements: Must be able to perform frequent walking, sitting, stooping, stretching, bending, reaching, and grasping actions. May be required to work nights and weekends. Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
