Position: Process Technician Location: A504 MOLDED PLUGS, Hartselle, AL Wage: $24.98-$33.50/hour Reporting to the Direct Supervisor, as a Process Technician, you will be responsible for performing tasks that are necessary to safely provide high quality, efficient, timely production and shipment of Sonoco products. You will be required to learn, excel in, and teach the operation of machinery that produces product, as well as machinery that processes and delivers raw materials for manufacturing. Responsibilities Monitor the operations process, work, and material flow to ensure that quality and customer specifications are met. Report precise production numbers. Conduct preventative maintenance activities, including running tests and trial runs as necessary. Execute tool changes and repairs as required, while adhering to all HECP LOTO procedures. Carry out and/or delegate all quality checks. Collaborate with maintenance and vendors regarding supplies and work orders. Organize all tooling and maintain it in labeled storage locations. Meet the production objectives set by the Shift Supervisor/Production Manager Requirements Troubleshooting and fixing machine issues require adequate mechanical skills. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must-have. Independent work and multitasking capabilities are essential. We are seeking someone dependable, proactive, committed, and quality-oriented. The ability to lift 100 lbs. is required for this position. You should be able to read and comprehend manufacturing instructions. Standing for long periods of time and performing repetitive tasks are part of the job. Maintaining a high level of craftsmanship and attention to detail while working quickly is necessary. Excellent attendance is essential for success. The ability to train others in Machine Operations.
