Additional Job Posting Information: This position is responsible for advising current and prospective graduate students from admissions and retention through graduation. Duties involve, but are not limited to: ·Processes graduate admissions applications. ·Advises and refers prospective students and current students in areas concerning admissions, professional development, funding, student services, policies, degree plans, course planning and selections, and career and educational goals. ·Analyzes, monitors and processes student paperwork such as degree plans, general petitions, graduation applications, non-resident tuition waivers, and substitutions ·Maintains admissions and current student files/records throughout their academic careers and makes changes as necessary. ·Coordinates or assists with preparing and conducting student meetings such as orientations, seminars and workshops. ·Other duties as assigned. QualificationsRequires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Academic Advisor II - Bachelors and 3 years experience $43,000 - $48,900 Academic Advisor III - Masters and 1 year experience $49,400 - $56,200
