Scheck Hillel is partnering with the Title I Teachers program and has an opening for a Title I Academic Interventionist educator who will work through FACTS Educational Partnerships (https://factsmgt.com/). This role requires planning, organizing, and supporting appropriate instructional programs in an elementary learning environment that is safe and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential.
We are open to a part-time or full-time schedule.
Job Description
- Provide compliance and other documentation to FACTS Ed as per communicated timelines.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials for active learning.
- Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments following established procedures and best practices.
- Manage student behavior and enforce classroom rules and procedures.
- Maintain classroom management as per school rules and systems.
- Encourage and monitor individual student progress, and adjust teaching strategies accordingly.
- Keep accurate records of student attendance, progress, and development.
- Prepare required reports on students and activities.
- Participate in meetings and communicate necessary information to students, colleagues, and parents.
- Establish clear objectives for learning activities and prepare the classroom.
- Provide learning materials and resources for educational activities.
- Observe and evaluate student performance, and assign/grade class work and assessments.
- As a Title I Teacher, deliver supplemental instruction, implement programs, analyze assessment data, and establish strong parent involvement programs and relationships.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a strong school community.
- Manage inventory of Title I resources.
Requirements :
- Bachelor in Education or related field.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience working in a classroom setting or comparable experience.
- Experience working with English Language Learners or Special Ed preferred.
- Passion for education, focusing on the success and achievements of students, parents, and fellow educators.
- Basic knowledge and understanding of federal programs, policies, and procedures.
- Exemplary skills in monitoring, tracking, and evaluating data to assess program effectiveness.
- Technically savvy.
- Demonstrate ability to set priorities and achieve results.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
