The Academic Partnerships Liaison will play a crucial role in building and maintaining CIAT relationships with corporate partners, community colleges, and community organizations. Responsibilities
- Design and implement strategies to build relationships with corporate partners, community colleges, and community organizations to increase CIAT brand awareness and support student recruitment efforts.
- Deliver compelling employer presentations that outline the benefits of investing in IT training, emphasizing return on investment and employee professional development benefits.
- Conduct cold outreach, including phone calls, emails, and in-person meetings, to generate leads and secure commitments for funding and collaboration.
- Meet or exceed daily and weekly partnership outreach targets (phone calls, emails, appointments, and referrals) to effectively build and manage your partnership pipeline.
- Connect with prospective partners using multiple communication channels (phone, email, text, LinkedIn, events, etc.).
- Develop and implement a plan for generating referrals from personal and professional networks.
- Uses professional knowledge and perspective to build rapport, overcome obstacles, and guide prospective partners through a formal CIAT partner onboarding process.
- Meet or exceed term enrollment goals sourced directly from partnership-building efforts.
- Identify and connect with key corporate stakeholders with employee education assistance benefits to support corporate recruitment efforts.
- Participate in virtual and in-person presentations, speaking engagements, and event opportunities to represent CIAT.
- Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities such as open houses, regional presentations, training, orientation programs, college fairs, career days, etc.
- Travel to on-site locations to facilitate partnership-building efforts.
- Track and report on employer and community partnership pipeline stages through CIAT’s CRM and reporting systems.
- Identify and promote grant opportunities or external partner scholarships to support enrollment.
- Collaborate with CIAT Career Services Department to identify and refer hiring partners to support student employment initiatives.
- Comply with all Federal, State, accreditation, and institutional policies and procedures.
- Performs other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum of 2 years of professional work experience in Admissions, sales, or business development positions
- Proven track record of building relationships with employers and community stakeholders
- Minimum 2 years of experience using enterprise CRM systems such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or Microsoft Dynamics
- Strong understanding of workforce trends, technical education, industry certifications, and employer needs in technical industries
- Strong organizational and communication skills and the ability to manage multiple and rapidly changing priorities to meet the needs and expectations of employees
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic; dedicated to quality, quantity, and timeliness of results
- Able to handle sensitive information with a high degree of confidentiality
- Possess high ethical standards, being an example of professionalism to others
- Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs and exercise independent judgment
- Excellent analytical skills, problem-resolution skills, and general business acumen
- Proficient skills in MS Office software products, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Project, and ability to learn additional software products
- Exhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a rapidly changing environment
- Position may require work responsibilities outside of normal business hours to accommodate business needs and deadlines
- Reliable transportation to regularly commute to employer locations, networking events, community partners, and more.
- 50%+ of travel may be required
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Occasional weekend and evening hours may be required. Travel to military bases, high schools, speaking engagements, conferences, or CIAT-sponsored events may be required.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

- Essential functions of this role require sitting for extended periods of time
- Ability to type, use a computer to search for information and input information while speaking on the phone is required
- The employee will frequently be required to use the computer, mouse and telephone to conduct the regular tasks of this role
- The employee will be required to compute simple to simple mathematical calculations as a normal part of this role
- Daily use of a company computer and related software applications at a workstation
- Must be able to lift, carry, and transport items up to 20 pounds and handle setup for various events as required.

While performing the responsibilities of this remote position, the job holder will work in a home office environment.
