NeoGenomics is looking for an Accessioning Supervisor at our lab in Fort Myers, FL who wants to continue to learn in order to allow our company to grow.
This position covers a work schedule of Monday-Friday, 11:00pm-7:30am (overnights).

Position Summary:
The Supervisor of Accessioning has the overall responsibility for the planning, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of all operational activities and personnel for Accessioning and will collaborate closely with internal teams (e.g. Client Services, Logistics, Case Management, Lab Ops, and Pathology Support business functions.) Ensures that all activities are carried out efficiently and in accordance with proper procedure.
Core Responsibilities:
- Supervises the staff and daily operations of assigned departments
- Works with department leads to handle escalated issues for assigned business functions
- Ensures that employees are trained and compliant with SOPs and competency checklists
- Ensures records are kept up-to-date and maintained in accordance with departmental policies and procedures
- Sets department objectives and performance goals; monitors personnel and resource utilization on an ongoing basis and makes adjustments in staffing to facilitate achievement of the goals and objectives
- Supervises and participates in personnel management activities for the department; selects and hires personnel; conducts or guides leads in selection interviews, hiring, motivating and training staff
- Conducts or guides leads in performance appraisals, documenting deficiencies, developing plans for improvement and counseling employees
- Contributes to the development of internal systems which support the work of the assigned business functions; defines needs and coordinates the development of manual and/or automated systems to facilitate workflow; remains current on hardware and software capabilities and ensures employees are trained in the use of automated equipment or new programs
- Maintains knowledge of CAP/CLIA requirements
Experience, Education and Qualifications:
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 3+ years’ experience supervising a support services operation or business function preferred. Prior experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
- Demonstrated success in leading team members to reach goals and objectives
- Demonstrated success in meeting high performance standards with regard to work quality and quantity
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communication with all employees and clients
- Must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards
- Must be able to work in a biohazard environment and comply with safety policies and standards outlined in the Safety Manual
