Summary of Position:
The Account Development Manager is responsible for the development of new business with both new and existing accounts through a consultative, solution-development approach and disciplined project management. Responsibilities include establishing and maintaining profitable business-to-business relationships on behalf of the company, promptly responding to all business leads and inquiries, and maximizing sales potential with existing customers. The Account Manager is responsible for proactive involvement in the business community, networking groups, and related events as a strategic component of the overall center sales development plan.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop, retain and grow existing business accounts
- Manage incoming leads, sales appointments and order follow-through
- Present and discuss the products and services of the company in a way that conveys an image of quality, integrity and superior understanding and fulfillment of customer needs.
- Understand and comply with the consultative philosophy/program in place.
- Develop account growth strategy in conjunction with management to identify and implement marketing opportunities where applicable
- Manage estimating and order-processing details with company’s workflow, systems and procedures
- Communicate effectively with management and the production teams, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that both account and company objectives are met.
- Follow operational policies and procedures as outlined in the company manuals.
- Participate as a key team player by supporting operations as needed.
- Attend/Participate in occasional educational and training events/programs from time to time as identified by management.
Requirements
Qualifications / Skills:
- At least 2 years business-to-business Account and Project Management experience desired
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint
- Professional, upbeat, and outgoing with excellent people skills
- Detail-oriented, organized, dependable, and self-motivated
- Positive outlook, goal-oriented, and reliable
- Ability to work independently as well as an integral team member
- Clean driving record with dependable vehicle and valid driver’s license
- Expertise in Internet search and familiarity with social media, E-Newsletters, GMB (Google My Business)
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Keen multi-tasking abilities
- Ability to continue and build professional relationships with diverse customer/prospect base
- Applicants with direct knowledge of and experience with the graphic arts, printing, sign industry products will have a big advantage.
