Lange Logistics is seeking an experienced and driven Account Development Representative (ADR) to join our team.
In this position, the ADR will focus on building strong relationships with prospective shipper partners, offering consultative solutions to address their freight service needs. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of the transportation and logistics industry, maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, and demonstrate an ability to generate new business while fostering long-term relationships. Success in this role requires an adaptable and customer-centric approach, with the ability to navigate a fast-paced environment while driving business growth and customer retention.

Responsibilities:
- Generate new leads through various methods such as cold outreach and referrals. Attract potential customers and establish solid, long-lasting relationships.
- Develop consultative partnerships with shippers to provide customized freight solutions, ensuring that their service needs are met with high-quality offerings.
- Price transportation services for both formal Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and spot business, ensuring competitive rates while maintaining profitability.
- Stay informed on transportation market cycles, industry trends, and carrier services to offer up-to-date solutions to customers.
- Keep detailed and accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and pipeline progression using CRM and other tools.
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of the shipment process, from tendering to delivery, ensuring smooth operations and managing issue resolution as needed.
- Work closely with the VP of Sales to develop strategies for new business opportunities, enhance current customer relationships, and contribute to overall company growth.
- Manage and resolve any service-related issues promptly, ensuring that the customer's experience remains positive throughout the shipment process.
- Handle multiple accounts and customers simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-energy work environment, maintaining excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1-3yrs of experience, in transportation-related sales.
- Skilled at cold outreach, prospecting, and developing new customer relationships.
- An understanding of third-party logistics (3PL), supply chain processes, and freight transportation is essential to perform effectively in this role.
- Demonstrates success in developing and managing a portfolio of clients and driving sales growth.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for negotiating deals, managing client relationships, and working within the sales team.
- Familiarity with basic productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint are required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience utilizing Salesforce is preferred, as it can streamline tracking and managing customer interactions.
- Experience in managing and resolving issues with shipments or customers will be beneficial in ensuring smooth operations.
- Being able to employ consultative sales techniques is a preferred skill for developing tailored solutions and adding value to customer relationships.
