The Account Director is responsible for leading the client/agency relationship for a designated business unit.
The Account Director will play an integral role in the agency's leadership team. Reporting to Senior Account Director, the Account Director will serve as a trusted leader to the account team and partner to key client decision-makers. The role will support the overall growth of the agency.
This role is 2 days per week onsite, at our headquarter offices, located at Hudson Yards (NYC) and the other 3 days are remote.
Job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Develop and execute comprehensive account plans, setting clear goals and strategies to meet client objectives
- Foster strong client relationships through regular communication, including meetings, calls, and presentations
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, strategy, media, etc.) to develop innovative and impactful solutions that address client challenges
- Serve as a strategic advisor to clients, providing insights and recommendations to optimize marketing efforts
- Oversee project timelines and budgets, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within scope
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, providing timely reports and actionable insights to clients
- Actively seek opportunities to upsell and expand existing accounts, identifying additional areas of value for clients
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market developments, and competitors' activities to provide thought leadership and inform strategic initiatives
- Lead and mentor direct reports, providing guidance and support for their professional growth
- All administrative responsibilities to meet agency compliance
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
- 7-9 years of experience in account management, preferably in an advertising agency or marketing consultancy
- Proven track record of successfully managing client accounts and driving measurable results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on identifying opportunities for growth and optimization
- Ability to lead and inspire cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and driving excellence
- Up-to-date knowledge of digital marketing trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Proficient in project management, and a variety of software/applications (Microsoft Office, etc.)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- Manage administrative tasks with attention to meeting agency compliance guidelines and standards
Additional Information
The base compensation range for this job classification is between $135,000.00-$175,000.00 annually. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related skills and qualifications, length of service, brand program, and geographic location. This job classification is bonus-eligible, with bonus potential subject to applicable bonus plan terms and conditions.
