ACCOUNT DIRECTOR, Account Services Department
The Account Director will lead beyond the day to day client engagement and develop strategic recommendations that address the client's business challenges, KPIs to be achieved and provide solutions.
Manage a team of agency SMEs to deliver on client needs and achieve favorable outcomes for the client that result in agency profitability and overall financial health. Lead the client to new marketing solutions that they may not have considered in their own operations and planning processes.
Leads organic growth initiatives and demonstrates a high level of business acumen.

Responsibilities
- Oversee growth and development of top tier/key accounts
- Identify opportunity to solve business problems along with how to build, co-create and guide a team to solutions
- Apply high level of business acumen and have keen eye monitoring key KPIs.
- Ensure and deliver client satisfaction - look for ways to deliver above expectations. Surprise & delight.
- Mentor & coach assigned account team members
- Provide marketing leadership on client business internally and externally- stay curious.
- Become and continually be category and business expert
- Management and development of key client briefs, projects and requests, including adding value and refinement of the above
- Owner of organic growth plans and client budgets overseeing and monitoring account billing, time tracking and profitability.
- Present agency POVs externally and with SMEs
- Motivate and bring internal teams together to produce our best work
- Be accountable for the security of our client’s business
- Ensure the excellence of projects and high quality output of our services; effectively manage and interpret client feedback; guide/lead team to implement projects smoothly and effectively including overall QA & QC of all deliverables.
- Elevate customer concerns and opportunities as needed
- Develop and maintain high levels of team effectiveness (trust, communication, collaboration, productivity, engagement)
- Understand & respect every department’s role in delivering great work and building relationships
- Uphold agency core values. Enter time on a daily basis.
Requirements
- 7 years of agency experience in an account management role
- Bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing, business or related degree required
- Strong understanding of advertising and marketing disciplines, advertising and sales promotion programs, media advertising, direct mail, trade shows, public relations, point-of-purchase and online advertising strategies
- Computer proficiency including word processing, data entry, spreadsheets and generating reports using standard software applications
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret general business periodicals and professional journals
- Ability to write reports and business correspondence
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
- Ability to analyze and solve problems
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team is a must

Total compensation for this role is designed to be competitive with the market. The anticipated salary range for this Syracuse, NY-based position is $125,000 to $150,000 per year. The final offer will depend on the candidate's experience, skills, abilities, and geographic location, along with other business and organizational considerations.
