Through the comprehensive PowerFlex X platform, PowerFlex leverages patented smart software to control, monitor, and optimize a client's distributed energy resources to reduce cost and maximize return on investment.The Account Executive will be responsible for sales and play a key role in our EV charging sales execution by selling ‘product only’ charging hardware and software as well as fully turnkey projects (design, install, etc.)
This position will be the face and voice of PowerFlex’s EV charging solutions, articulating and quantifying the benefits to property owners & managers, and corporate executives of mid-size to Fortune 500 companies
Serving as a primary EV charging sales and business relationship manager, this role will be responsible for generating leads, closing deals, maintaining accounts, and creating long-term account growth plans for customers throughout the US but with an emphasis in the northeast
The Account Executive will sit within the EV-Direct Origination team at PowerFlex, which broadly services the national C&I, institutional and multi-unit dwelling space with EV charging focused solutions.LocationThis role is open to be 100% remote or a hybrid role out our New York, NY, office
This role will be supporting accounts in the North East region of the US so applicants need to be based on the East Coast or Mid-West regions of the United States. ResponsibilitiesOriginate new C&I, institutional and multi-unit dwelling accounts and turnkey EV charging opportunities through (but not limited to) cold calling, email campaigns, networking and participating in trade shows and conferences Identify new sales verticals, strategies, and lead sources to grow a pipeline with repeat customers Develop new and existing relationships with corporate executives, energy/facility/property managers and owners Take full ownership of your customer’s success by ensuring high-touch client servicing and problem solving as their EV charging subject matter expert Regularly prepare and lead compelling virtual and in-person client presentations Guide EV charging customers on the value of adding onsite solar and storage (with the help of PowerFlex subject matter experts) Skillfully manage a pipeline of nurture and working opportunities to meet and exceed individual volume and revenue targets Collaborate with internal teams to develop incentive response campaigns Work closely with cross-functional teams in Marketing, Technologies, Engineering, Execution and Asset Management Immerse yourself in the EV charging space by tracking market changes, technology/OEMs, incentive programs, general EV trends and understanding the needs of EV drivers Develop a strong technical baseline through training and development milestones QualificationsEducation/ExperienceBachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 5+ years of sales experience in the renewable energy or energy services industries; ideal candidates will also possess at least 1 year in EV charging salesExperience conducting outbound origination calls and emails Experience managing a pipeline of actionable sales opportunities Experience working towards a sales quota Experience leading successful RFP and RFI responses Skills / Knowledge / AbilitiesA natural leader and team builder mentality Builds trust by demonstrating empathy, has high ethical standards and personal integrity Self-motivated, self-starter who can work independently Energetic and results-driven, with a strong work ethic and commitment to excellence Creative thinker who generates different ideas Ability to recognize near-term and long-term trends and their impacts on company goals Demonstrates ability to collaborate across internal teams CompensationThe pay range for this position is $115,000 - $192,000 annually
This position is eligible for PowerFlex's comprehensive Health and Welfare plans including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, 401(k) retirement plan and paid time off
The total compensation for this position may include an annual performance bonus (or other incentive compensation, as applicable)
