This is a remote position focused on new account acquisition for a manufacturing company based in Holland, OH.

Qualifications

- Ability to learn and communicate technical product information.
- Must be comfortable with up to 75% travel, as a significant portion of the role will involve meeting clients in person.
- Proficiency with CRM Software and the Microsoft Office suite.
- Valid Driver's License.
Essential Functions
- Sales Planning/Strategy:
- Develop thorough understanding of product line benefits, and identify new markets for penetration based on those benefits.
- Analyze and identify assigned vertical, geographic and target markets.
- Analyze target accounts and develop successful selling strategies.
- Determine personal sales goals, analyze current position, and determine course of action for realization of those goals.
- Develop and execute a solid business plan.
- Marketing/Networking/Prospecting:
- Target prospects with regularly scheduled ongoing correspondence and enrollment in Designetics marketing programs.
- Prospect within specific, untapped target vertical markets.
- Network with strategic associations and organizations.
- Build and maintain a network of sources from which to identify new sales leads.
- Work with Regional Sales Managers to elicit referrals.
- Be responsible for trade show duties including: determination of show selection, displays, pre-show outreach, show promotions, working of booth, show presentations, talks and seminars, set-up and tear-down, and post-show follow-up.
- Sales Duties:
- Be responsible for successfully moving prospects through each and every stage of their Buying Cycles.
- Communicate with prospects to identify and understand their needs; identify and suggest products to meet those needs.
- Secure new ‘target' accounts as defined by Designetics.
- Take the lead in a team sales approach with Regional Sales Managers and/or other Designetics team members as appropriate.
- Write relevant sales and business correspondence.
- Conduct discovery and other sales appointments. In-person and via phone or web conference.
- Work with Designetics team members to determine solutions for prospects.
- Create and present proposals.
- Exceed minimum acceptable sales activity benchmarks.
- Exceed assigned sales quotas.
- Provide Marketing & Sales Manager with accurate sales forecasts.
- Client Support and Communication:
- Travel to client locations post-sale to ensure successful onboarding.
- Be ultimately responsible for the initial overall satisfaction of your clients.
- Manage successful transitions of account responsibility to Regional Sales Managers.
Physical Demands
- Regularly communicate with customers.
- Ability to visit prospects' facilities, observe processes and issues, and identify solutions.
- Occasionally move items over 60 pounds.
- Proper vision - able to fully view close and distant objects.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- 40+ hours per week, as needed. Hours are generally during business hours, 8 a.m. – 5 p.m., but may vary according to customer requirements.
- Travel as needed, including overnight travel.
