Position Purpose
The Account Executive promotes the Security Solutions business unit, generating leads and turning those leads into sales success for existing buildings. This individual will estimate, quote, negotiate, and sell Security Solution upgrades, retrofits, and our Impact-Driven Service Agreements in a timely, profitable, and responsive manner for already established customers.
Pay Range $52,340 - $77,319 plus commission

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Under supervision, manages and grows assigned territory or group of accounts consisting of building owners, end-users, and property managers.
• Achieves booking and gross margin goals. General annual booking volume guideline is: $1M -$1.5M. Customer relationships at this level are primarily operational and transaction-oriented
• Develop and implement plans to take advantage of all sales opportunities for assigned customers or territory.
• Effectively perform needs assessments and develop sales proposals, estimates, specifications and presentations.
• Work with operations, finance, legal, and other inside and outside resources as needed to obtain the sale.
• Follow through on sold projects to ensure satisfactory completion. Ensure a smooth sales-to-operations turnover and monitor progress.
• Assist in resolving installation, collections and other customer satisfaction issues as needed.
• Analyze and suggest upgrades and/or repairs based on performance metrics of the FDD software.
• Assist customers and potential customers with problems involving the use of company products and services and recommend suitable resolutions accordingly.
• Prepare accurate and thorough sales activity reports, forecast reports, and expense tracking.
• Participate in civic and professional organizations, and sales department meetings, workshops and seminars. Continue to pursue in-depth product and service knowledge and acquire deeper selling, technical and financial skills.
• Keep current on market business and product trends.

Qualifications
• 1+ years of sales-related work experience
• Moderate related technical and financial expertise
• Understanding of HVAC, control systems, building automation, electrical systems, energy management, engineering, installation, and construction procedures
• Ability to interpret mechanical plans and specifications.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Also demonstrates excellent customer service and computer skills
• Ability to interact with all levels of personnel, including upper management
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• High level of accountability and willingness to take responsibility
• Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
• Associate degree in engineering, business or a similar field with 2-4 years of related work experience
• Any credentials, including LEED GA/AP, CEM, FE, or PE
• ASHRAE association
