About the Job
Your Key Responsibilities
- Develop and drive a business plan for all top customers which demonstrates a complete understanding of the customer's business strategies and makes the connection for how Schaeffler's product brands will deliver value in their operation.
- Expand customer base and increase business at target industries, product lines and accounts for all Schaeffler product lines.
- Identify markets and product opportunities in the market.
- Prepare a monthly call activity plan for review with Sales Management.
- Prepare monthly product forecast.
- Focus efforts to meet the monthly sales plan.
- Obtain customer, consumer and competitive information and feed to region and corporate management.
- Prepare a monthly Good News/Bad News report that is distributed to Sales Management and Product Line Staff.
- Maintain and improve customer relations.
- Maintain accurate reports and records as well as review order status and customer sales activity.
- Promote and sell product through seminars, trade shows and direct customer contact as required.
- Effectively leverage outside agencies to support day to day sales growth and account support activities.
- Respond to customer inquiries and orders in a timely and professional manner.
- Provide formal call reports for each major change in business accounts at key accounts and document new potential.
- Obtain data on new/existing applications where application engineering is required.
- Become technically proficient in Schaeffler applications to be able to review and present proposals to customers.
- Responsible for the execution/coordination of customer training.
- Monitor the A/R activity and participate in dunning procedures where A/IR are overdue or where other collecting measures are necessary.
- Review COGS programs on quarterly basis with customers and Sales Management.
Your Qualifications
- Aftermarket sales experience preferred
- Four-year college degree or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong Negotiation skills
- Strong MS Office skills
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Ability to manage, train and develop subordinates and interface with other departments effectively
- Ability to multi-task with accuracy and effectiveness
- Individual must be energetic and capable of creative problem solving.
- Must be well organized and always prepared.
- Able to travel up to 50% (including some weekends).
