Job Title: Account Manager, Commercial Landscape
Location: College Park, MD
Reports To: Branch Manager
Compensation: $75-85k base plus Commissions on Enhancement Sales and New Maintenance Contracts, health insurance, company vehicle, PTO of three weeks including Christmas week, Cell Reimbursement, Laptop , 401k match and additional perks and bonus. Paid $35/hour for extra work involving snow.
Our client is a well established regional Commercial Landscape company with extensive experience and growth ambitions for the Washington DC, Maryland and Northern VA markets. Their client retention rates are north of 95% and their employee retention rate is extremely high.
They are looking for two Account Managers who can manage a book of business that consists of commercial, retail, office, multifamily and other properties that outsource landscape services.
These newly created positions will be customer facing and will need to manage the relationship, quality control and be able to sell enhancements to unlock a properties potential. They are looking for 60% penetration with enhancement sales and this person will manage that sales cycle.
They will also have the opportunity to sell new maintenance contracts to new and existing clients.
Job Duties:
- Develop and sustain long-term relationships with customers.
- Produce and maintain a schedule to perform “site walkthroughs” during formal meetings with customers to ensure quality and service expectations are met.
- Lead and facilitate or assist in the resolution of customer problems or concerns.
- Proactively present site enhancement ideas to existing customers.
- Ability to coordinate designs for flowers and beds
- Ensure the renewals of each current account within the customer portfolio.
- Identify and pursue opportunities to sell ancillary services.
- Ensure a safe environment for employees and customers.
- Develop accurate estimates and takeoffs for both new and existing clients as needed.
- Communicate regularly with the Production Managers to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded.
- Manage service delivery to specified scope of work.
- Ensure branch financial goals met by maintaining acceptable gross margins for both base contract work and ancillary services.
- Coordinate consistent and timely site visits.
- Participate in branch meetings and assist Branch Manager or Assistant Branch Manager in overall leadership of branch.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by Branch Manager.
- Ability to hire, coach, and develop teams.
