Account Manager – Construction Product Supplier – Base Salary to 85k/year – Congers, NY
- For more than 25 years, our client has offered quality construction products to the utility and infrastructure construction market. With well over 2,000 products that include PPE, Clothing, Footwear, Road Signage, Site Supplies, and Tools they are a one-stop-shop for construction site needs. They guarantee same-day-delivery within the New York/New Jersey/Philadelphia metro area all thanks to their state of the art 100,000 square foot warehouse facility. With their current operation expanding to Connecticut and Baltimore they have been on a fast track of steady growth by adding over 75 employees in just the last 8 years!
- The Account Manager will be a key player for our continued growth in the Congers, NY market. This person will be part of a fast-moving, high-performing sales team with a People First mindset in order to drive company growth. The Account Manager’s role will be involve growing and maintaining a book of business in their specified market. This person will work alongside the Business Development Manager to keep our loyal customers happy! We strongly believe in Extreme Customer Service, Reliability and Transparency, and we love to win!
Responsibilities:
- Your Team's Sales: you will work in conjunction with Business Development Manager to hit a sales target within a region
- Negotiation: the Account Manager manages and negotiates customer pricing, closes sales, makes outbound calls and is responsible to meet defined Key Performance Indicators
- Customer Inquiries: handle requests professionally and efficiently, ensuring each interaction with the customer is an extremely positive experience
- Transactions: quotes and orders will be created, sent and followed up
- Account Managers are required to work in-office in Congers, NY
Qualifications:
- To qualify for the Account Manager role, candidates must have 2+ years of experience in Business to Business (B2B) sales setting
- Candidates must have 2+ years’ experience in a Customer Facing role such as prior Account Management or Customer Service
- Experience working within the construction industry is a huge plus, but is not required
- Must be computer literate and have experience with Microsoft Office Suite, experience with NetSuite or other ERP systems is highly preferred
- Experience managing accounts within a distributor/warehouse environment is a huge plus
- Must have a valid driver’s license and the ability to work in-office in Congers, NY
Compensation:
- Annual base salary up to 85k/year
- Annual commission of 5% of Gross Profit Dollars (OTE of $115,000 in your first year, up to $145,000 in your second year)
