Talis Group’s client is a locally owned, leading distributor of equine products. They are adding an Account Manager to their sales team in the Shelbyville, KY area. This industry leader’s success is earned with a strong commitment to excellence and exceptional service to their customers. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing Dealer Partners and making sure they have what they need to be successful. This is a relationship fostering role. The Account Manager will be responsible for managing Dealer Partners and making sure they have what they need to be successful. This is a relationship fostering role. Position will require about 25 - 30% travel.
Salary $65 – 75K + Excellent Benefits Package and retirement program.
HIGHLIGHTED DUTIES:
- Develop and maintain knowledge of markets in assigned region.
- Foster and maintain long-term relationships with partners.
- Work closely with dealers in assigned region to ensure they have everything needed for optimal success.
- Respond to potential new dealers within your region.
- Review daily order activity of sales area.
- Assist in problem solving by identifying substitutions or replacements if needed.
- Assist in communications with dealers regarding any issues like order/stock situations.
- Attend/Conduct dealer events and provide information/feedback regarding product enhancements/ development
- Assist with developing marketing plans and strategies.
- Record all interactions using CRM system.
- Other duties as assigned.
HIGHLIGHTED REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven track record in inside and/or outside sales.
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Must be customer focused with the ability to listen and learn.
- Effective communication skills.
- Proactive problem-solving.
- Ability to work individually and as a team.
- Willingness and ability to travel as required by the role. Approximately 25 – 30%
- Helpful but not required: familiarity with equine industry practices, terminology, and products.
