Nordson Polymer Processing Systems (PPS) designs and manufactures industrial equipment used to melt and give shape to plastic materials. Our products include pelletizing and filtration systems, extrusion dies, and recycling equipment that enables our customers to transform waste into purified reusable raw material.
Job Summary
- Responsible for maintaining and developing an assigned group of Top Customers to meet and exceed the company’s revenue and margin targets
- Identify and leverage synergies between unmet Top Customer needs and PPS Top products and strategic anititives, resulting in increased Margin and Customer share. Actively drive and eliminate complexity in every aspect of the role, from customer need to actual offering.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Using NBS Next Quads & Quartiles data, historical information and either personal or a team member experience, fill in and maintain the required Account Plan for each of your assigned Top Customers.
- Log all opportunities in the Sales Pipeline tool and update information on a weekly basis such that accurate forecast information is available for management to review at any given time.
- Proactively meet customer needs with Top Products, and where necessary, creatively migrate customer needs from Bottom to Top Products
- Proactively seek and identify growth opportunities within the assigned Top Customers. Fullfill these growth opportunities with our Top Products
- Participate in Team meetings and share information about your Top Customers; new applications, new competitive information, new trends, etc.
- Actively seek information about our competitors products and services and feed back to our Product Line Management team. Use the information to develop differentiating value-added propositions.
- Actively look for ways to simplify your tasks. Beginning with customer need, proactively guide the customer towards a more simplified, less complex solution that will provide less complexity in our manufacturing, reducing lead times.
- Define and implement tactics to increase our company’s share-of-wallet at each of the assigned Top Customer
- Perform at least one annual visit to each of your assigned Top Customers to discuss the state of the business and prepare for the following year budget plan.
Education and Experience
- University degree or diploma in business or relevant technology
- At least 10 years of experience with a proven track record in managing a set of defined accounts
- Familiar with international business practices with a proven track record of managing customers in Europe, APAC and The Americas
- Structured, organized and able to identify the “20%” efforts that yield “80% of results
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Highly proactive with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Passion for Industry, solid relationships and networking
