About the Job
Our client, a well-respected, high-net-worth family in the Cherry Creek area. Our client has several related business entities in their beautiful, custom-built office building. This is an A-Z, hands-on accounting/administrative role. The Accountant/Administrative Assistant will work with one of the owners and be responsible for full-cycle accounting for two entities, tracking investments, as well as administrative duties for the executives. The best candidate for this excellent opportunity will be highly analytical and able to multi-task and complete projects timely. In addition, the Account/Administrative Assistant will be highly organized, detail oriented and able to work under pressure. Strong business ethics and the ability to appropriately handle confidential information are required. This is a full-time, in-person position.
Accountant/Administrative duties:(60%/40%)
- Accounts payable, accounts receivable and billing
- Bank and general ledger account reconciliations
- General ledger work and analysis
- Prepare balance sheets, P&L statements and other reports
- Manage vendor files in accounts payable module
- Track activity of investment accounts, including gain/loss, dividends, reinvestments, etc. (35 different investment accounts)
- Responsible for making bank deposits, including reviewing account coding for accuracy and providing accountant with necessary back up
- Provide assistance with annual audit and budget preparation
- Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial statements
- Provide support to finance team as needed
- Book travel and help with expense reports
- Prepare, organize and maintain documents and records for entity meetings.
- Prepare notices, agendas and minutes.
- Collecting data for reporting.
- Pulling tax return data.
- Special projects.
- Archive and log email communications.
- Book and coordinating travel for Executives.
- Prepare itineraries
- Organize calendar and meeting folders
- Coordinate closely with respective executive assistants to receive, process and follow-up on the Family’s personal business, family, and community interests.
- Book travel and help with expense reports
Executive Assistant/Bookkeeper skills and experience:
- 4+ years of accounting experience in a corporate setting
- Strong experience with MS Office, especially Excel, QuickBooks
- Experience working with investments
- Strong attention to detail, ability to self-check work, and exceptional organizational skills
- Exceptional customer service skills and solid record of consistently providing excellent follow-through
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
