About the Job
Key Responsibilities:
- General Accounting Functions: Execute various accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), collections, cash management, cost accounting, and provide backup support for payroll.
- Financial and Budget Reporting: prepare, review and report on quarterly and annual financial results compared to Budget. Ensure the accurate preparation of financial statements and reporting package with a 5-day close window.
- Journal Entries and Reconciliations: Take ownership of all journal entries and account reconciliations in compliance with U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Audit Coordination: Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate timely and accurate year-end closing and reporting
- Tax and Compliance: Prepare and file sales tax returns, annual reports and state filings. Administer company files, including contracts and personnel records.
- Banking and Budgeting: Handles daily bank payments, receipts, and reconciliations. Forecast and prepare budgets, ensuring alignment with budgetary line items.
- Month-End Schedules: Accurately and punctually prepare month-end schedules, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and comprehensive financial packages.
- Ad Hoc Analysis: Undertake ad hoc analyses and projects as required.
- Vendor and Contractor Oversight: Manager activities conducted by external vendors, contractors, and inspectors.
- Global Communication: Oversee and manage communication and collaboration with international teams located in the European Union and China, ensuring effective coordination and information exchange across multiple time zones and cultures.
- Office Coordination: Oversee office-related activities, such as fire inspections, environmental/safety inspections, mail management, and facility access. Coordinate with the teambuilding activities.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or related areas. CPA preferred.
- 3+ years accounting experience
- Thorough knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
- Experience working at a Medical Device Manufacturing Company preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities across all levels of an organization and with diverse populations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required. Thorough knowledge of multiple ERP systems is preferable.
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated and enjoy working in a fast-moving environment.
- Ensure that all records are kept in good order. Ability to read, understand and explain financial statements including balance sheets, income statements and general ledger.
- Bookkeeping experience is a must.
- Able to set priorities, plan, organize, and delegate effectively.
- A team player and willing to develop and maintain positive relationships between business units, Finance and external stakeholders.
- Proficiency in both English and Mandarin is highly desirable.
Negotiable Salary: the salary for this role is negotiable within the range of 65,000 to 95,000, depending on qualifications and skills.
