Accountant / CPA DIRECT HIRE - Spherion

Spherion has partnered with a highly reputable CPA firm that is looking to expand their practice! The ideal candidate would have 5+ years of experience and be able to step right in and prepare returns and even have some supervisor responsibilities. Health / Dental insurance. Responsibilities:
Handles routine client questions and works with clients to collect necessary information for tax return completion.
Regularly collaborates with partners to provide outstanding client service.
Supports multiple client engagements on time, identifying issues and communicating progress.
Prepares individual, corporate, partnership, and other types of tax returns. Including client interviews.
Assists with the detail work of reviews, compilations, and other assurance services for clients.
Prepares financial statements, related disclosures, and other required reports.
Formulate and deliver innovative tax planning strategies.
Maintain active communications with clients to develop longstanding business relationships, manage expectations and ensure deadlines are met.
Assist with other projects as needed.

Working hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 AM

Skills:
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
Sound analytical, technical, and tax accounting skills.
Solid understanding of Internal Revenue Service regulations
Strong computer skills and a willingness to learn new technologies.
Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.
High level of organization and focus with exceptional attention to detail, and strong follow-up skills.
Strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Willingness to take supervision and guidance.
Team player with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Exceptional delivery of quality client service.
Requires a professional commitment to continuous learning and development


Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other Business-related degree with an Accounting minor required. Accounting degree is preferred.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) is desirable but not required.
Five years of experience in public accounting.
