A medical supply equipment supply company located in east El Paso is looking for an Accountant.
DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
Responsible for assisting ACCOUNTING ADMINISTRATOR with accounts payable functions and payroll functions. Will be responsible for accounting functions for the company: Accounts Payables, Accounts Receivables, Cash Management, Budgeting, Balance Sheet, Financial Statements.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND DEFINITIONS:
- Prepare a daily Cash Flow Report and post daily cash receipts from the daily deposits.
- Prepare the daily cash deposits.
- Journalize all cash transactions to QuickBooks.
- Maintain an Aging Report, preparing a monthly budget from aged invoices to pay.
- Maintain the company checks and Check Register.
- Post to QuickBooks all Cash Disbursements, coding to the correct General Ledger accounts.
- Maintain an operating budget indicating what operational payments need to get paid on a priority basis.
- Update vendor listings and maintain a continual communication with all vendors.
- Responsible for the filing of the Accounts Payables and other daily reports.
- Upkeep the employee Master Files in Peach Tree.
- Prepare Payroll on a bi-weekly basis.
- Pay all 941 Payroll taxes on a bi-weekly basis. Prepare all Quaterly 941, TWC, 940 taxes.
- Prepare all Year End Taxes 940, 941, W-2, W-3, 1096, 1099.
- Balance cash receipts to billing and prepare the Bank Reconciliations on a monthly basis.
- Maintain the General Ledger, balancing monthly.
- Maintain all Sub-Ledgers for Accounts Payables, Payroll.
- Generate monthly Financial Statements.
- Analyze all General Ledger accounts and make appropriate entries if re-class is needed.
- Prepare all required Journal Entries to include all proper back-up, on a monthly basis and at year end.
- Assist the billing department with data entry.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Must have demonstrated competence in computer use with accounting software knowledge.
- Two years payroll experience preferred.
- Current drivers license, with reliable transportation, current automobile insurance.
- Well organized and excellent follow through skills.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Pay $16-$20- HR
Position could become full time with the company.
