Currently, they are seeking an Accountant who will oversee the day-to-day accounting functions for both close-ended and open-ended funds. In addition to core accounting responsibilities, this role will support the Accounting Manager in fund reporting tasks, including the preparation of quarterly investor reports, annual audits, budget reporting, debt compliance, and managing capital call/distribution processes, as well as handling ad hoc requests from limited partners.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This is a hybrid role that will allow you to work both remotely and in-office. You will be responsible for a wide range of accounting duties, including journal entries, month-end close for fund structures, payables coding, and assisting in foreign exchange calculations and entries. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to make a significant impact in a fast-paced and innovative finance industry.
Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and post journal entries, ensuring all business transactions are recorded accurately and timely.
2. Perform month-end close procedures for fund structures, including reconciliations and analysis of related accounts.
3. Code and process payables accurately and promptly.
4. Assist with foreign exchange calculations and entries.
5. Support the preparation of Fund financial statements, including all necessary calculations and schedules.
6. Aid in the preparation of Fund investor reports, including providing necessary calculations and schedules.
7. Assist with the preparation of Fund-level debt compliance, including all required calculations and schedules.
8. Ensure compliance with GAAP accounting/reporting standards.
9. Assist with Advisory/AGM/AIP schedules and materials, as needed
10. Collaborate with other team members to improve financial procedures and systems.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
2. CPA or CPA candidate is strongly preferred.
3. A minimum of 2+ years of accounting experience
4. Public accounting experience preferred
5. Experience with GAAP accounting/reporting in a public accounting and/or public/private company setting.
6. Exposure to investment accounting and/or private equity industry is a plus.
7. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
8. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
9. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
10. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
11. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
12. Experience with accounting software and databases.
13. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
14. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions based on accurate and timely analyses.
