Acenda Integrated Health is recruiting for an Accountant to support the Finance Department in Glassboro, New Jersey.

Position Overview:

Accountant candidate must be familiar with standard accounting concepts, practices, and procedures within GAAP standards. This position will report to Director of Financial Reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Document financial transactions by entering journal entries in General Ledger accounting system
• Reconcile various Bank statements against general ledger on monthly basis.
• Support month-end and year-end close process
• Follow accounting controls by while recording transactions in the accounting system
• Provide feedback on business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Guide and work as a team with accounting staff by coordinating activities and answering questions
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
• Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
• Provide assistance during audits to ensure compliance.
• Communicate effectively with internal and external clients
• Assist with Ad hoc projects as needed

Required:

• Possess an associate's degree and two years' experience in providing human services, or five years of human service experience, or possess a relevant professional credential, such as Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner, bachelor's degree in social work, certified rehabilitation counselor, certified alcohol and drug counselor, bachelor's degree in rehabilitation, or bachelor of science in nursing.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to exercise independent thinking and good judgment under all circumstances.
• Must be able to analyze work, set goals, develop plans and utilize time effectively and efficiently.

Preferred:

• A bachelor's degree in accounting or a similar area of specialty or an associate's degree in accounting with at least two years of experience in the field
• Excellent accounting software user and administration skills
• Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
• Experience with accounting software Workday is a plus
