We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent Accountant to join our vibrant sales team. This is an exceptional opportunity for an individual who is passionate about numbers and wishes to bring their accounting expertise to a fast-paced, results-driven environment. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of accounting, including journal entries, month-end closing, P&L, and reconciliations.
Responsibilities:
As a Permanent Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health and growth of our company. Your primary duties and responsibilities will include:
1. Overseeing and managing the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes.
2. Coordinating with the sales team to forecast revenue and analyze profit margins.
3. Performing monthly balance sheet, income statement and changes in financial position/budget variance analyses.
4. Preparing and posting monthly journal entries, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
5. Conducting month-end and year-end close process, ensuring all financial reporting deadlines are met.
6. Preparing monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements; assisting with regulatory reporting as applicable.
7. Managing the preparation and distribution of internal financial statements and reports, maintaining the highest quality, reliability and accuracy.
8. Conducting regular ledger maintenance and reconciliations.
9. Developing and implementing office management policies and procedures to optimize operational efficiency.
10. Assisting in the development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for this role should possess the following qualifications:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced skills in Excel.
4. Strong understanding of accounting theory and principles.
5. Experience with a variety of accounting software.
6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
7. High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10. CPA certification is a plus.
