Accountant - Adventure Mattress LLC

Responsible for corporate accounting activities including inter-company accounting, assisting with preparation of month-end and year-end close, financial reporting functions including subsidies and commission calculations with backup documentation, reconciliation of sub-ledger to general ledger account balances, royalty management, travel & expense processing and administration, bank reconciliation, and company credit card reconciliation. Prepares various tax reports for sales and use, and other local taxes, insurance reports and other reports required by government regulation. Monitors the payroll tax processing by the third party payroll company. Ensures compliance with the financial procedures of the Company and maintains internal controls to ensure Company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies and US GAAP.

This position reports to the VP of Finance and is an in-office role.

Requires Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required with 4+ years progressively responsible accounting experience. CPA and/or Master's Degree in accounting, finance or business administration along with accounting experience in manufacturing, retail or comparable industry preferred. Strong knowledge of US GAAP, internal controls and financial reporting, required. Advanced MS Excel skills and basic to intermediate Word skills along with proficiency using an ERP and report writing/query applications required. Some financial planning and analysis experience helpful.
