Job Summary:
This Accountant is responsible for helping to maintain day-to-day treasury, insurance, and property tax processes set forth by the Treasury Manager and Chief of Staff. Will assist in audit of all related activities and strategies. Responsible for communicating with both onshore and offshore teams and help streamline activities related to treasury. Will collaborate with other departments on property insurance and tax, and receive exposure to corporate, healthcare, and automotive finance and accounting. Responsibilities to grow in time.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assisting Treasury Manager with day-to-day treasury activities
- Payment processing
- Check approvals.
- New account maintenance
- Credit card auditing.
- Helping maintain active bank account, credit card, insurance, property tax and loan registers.
- Working with banks to satisfy loan covenants.
- Monitor compliance with generally accepted accounting principles and company procedures.
- Conduct ad-hoc projects. Analyze large volumes of data and communicate findings
- Utilize critical thinking to tackle complex problems
- Identify processes that could impact financial performance and implement solutions
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience, Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related degree required
- Adept at problem-solving, including identifying issues and finding solutions with minimal direction
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
- Above average computer literacy, e.g. MS Word and Excel (pivot tables, vlookup)
- Excellent organizational, planning, and prioritization skills
- Effective attention to detail and accuracy, able to monitor own work for quality and thoroughness
- Able to conduct research, gather data, and organize information to present data in a meaningful way
- Able to work independently and as part of a team with minimal direction
- Displays a positive, team player attitude willing to take on additional roles/responsibilities
- Demonstrated ability to roll-up sleeves and help resolve issues
- Works well in a fast-paced environment
- Highly driven and self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement
