Accountant/Grant Accountant-Immediate Start-Fremont/San Jose
Position Overview:
Join this Finance team as a Staff/Grant Accountant, supporting day-to-day accounting operations. This role involves maintaining documentation for reports, audits, reconciliations, and other accounting tasks, with a focus on accounts payable, grant accounting, and purchasing. This role will start 100% onsite, moving to hybrid as a FTE.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in grant accounting, including billing and reporting.
- Process accounts payable transactions and employee reimbursements.
- Reconcile accounts payable ledgers and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage vendor records, purchase orders, and payments.
- Support various accounting functions as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business (2 years related experience) or an AA degree (5 years related experience).
- Minimum 1-3 years as a staff accountant.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and accounting software.
- Strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Preferred Experience:
- Non-profit, Healthcare, Community health.
- MIP Sage or related ERPs.
Salary: $65-$80k annually
