A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in accounting, finance or business administration;or
Four (4) year of professional or nonprofessional accounting experience.

JOB DUTIES:
Friends of Florida State Forests/Operation Outdoor Freedom. This includes maintaining records of program deposits and expenditures in the Quickbooks system; depositing receipted funds; writing checks to pay expenditures; reconciling expenditure receipts against the monthly program credit card statement; preparing correspondence and communicating with field staff on program matters and coordinating documentation requests associated with the annual audit, with the Program Certified Public Accountant and the auditing office; maintaining records of program merchandise sales and processing payments for resulting sales tax to the Department of Revenue.
Management of Urban and Community Forestry Program (UCF) technical services funds. This includes preparing UCF sub-grant contracts and monitoring their full execution; maintaining current spreadsheets showing balances for each subgrant as well as related records and files; preparing reimbursement requests by verifying submitted information, completing required forms, and processing payments through the Administrative Image Management System (AIMS); initiating correspondence with grant recipients and field foresters regarding management of sub-grants and special projects such as field unit funding for Arbor Day celebrations; and preparing and verifying accuracy of monthly expenditure and balance reports by category.
Tree Planting and Silvicultural Program Management. This includes gathering contract documentation between the agency Program Manager for the participating landowner for tree planting and stand improvement projects; entering these contracts into AIMS; maintaining current spreadsheet to monitor plan completion in a timely manner and with correct payment; preparing reimbursement requests by verifying submitted information, completing required forms, and processing payment through the system; and initiating correspondence with participating landowners and field Foresters regarding completion and reimbursement of program funded projects.
Forest Stewardship Program Management Plans. This includes preparing contracts between the agency and the consulting Forester for plan preparation; entering those contracts into AIMS; maintaining current spreadsheet to monitor plan completion in a timely manner and with correct payment; preparing reimbursement requests by verifying submitted information, completing required forms, and processing payments through AIMS; and initiating correspondence with contracted consultants, participating landowners, and field Foresters regarding completion and reimbursement of stewardship plans.
Performs other duties as assigned.
