Job Title: Accountant (Temp-to-Hire)
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance department on a temp-to-hire basis. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting month-end closing processes and a strong willingness to expand their skills in financial analysis, reporting, and reconciliation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their accounting career and gain exposure to treasury functions and other financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring accurate financial reporting and timely completion of accounting tasks.
- Support financial analysis and reporting outside of month-end to help the company make data-driven decisions.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank, general ledger, and other balance sheet accounts.
- Assist with basic treasury functions, such as cash management, account monitoring, and reporting.
- Prepare journal entries, financial statements, and other accounting reports.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, policies, and company procedures.
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting tasks and support other departments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in accounting, with a focus on month-end close processes.
- Ideally, experience with Great Plains accounting software (or similar accounting systems).
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting, and reconciliation processes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
