Responsibilities:
- Serve our members.
- Reconcile various general ledger accounts on a timely basis. Analyze and make adjusting entriesasneeded.
- Assistance with preparation and submission of NCUA Call report.
- Prepare andpostjournalentriesforanyitemsrequiringposting tothegeneralledger.
- Prepare andpostend-of-monthjournalentriestorecordvarious generalledger adjustments.
- Responsible for processing return deposit checks and correspond with the member when necessary.
- Back-upAccountsPayableandShareDraftAgentsasneeded.
- Responsiblefor properstorageandretentionofallentries.
- Must maintain strictly confidential information pertaining to the Credit Association, member, and employee business.
- Maintains regulatory compliance including the Bank Secrecy Act.
- Follows the CARE and QA Service Standards and maintains excellent understanding of FECA products and services.
- Participates in ongoing training for professional and personal development.
- Maintains a positive, professional attitude and works well with a team.
- Assist in any area as directed by the Accounting Manager and perform other duties andresponsibilitiesas assigned.
- Four-yearaccountingdegreefromanaccreditedcollegeoruniversity, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 3 years of Financial Institution experience preferred, including understanding of credit union philosophy and knowledge of credit union rules and regulations.
- Thoroughknowledgeofgenerallyacceptedaccountingprinciples.
- Abilitytoapplynecessaryaccountingpracticesforcompliancewithcreditunionlaws,rules,andregulations.
- Goodanalyticalskillsinresolvingaccountingerrors.
- Excellentcustomerserviceskills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication and basic math skills.
- Must be accurate, organized, attentive to details, and manage time well.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
