Duties and Responsibilities
" Perform a variety of accounting functions for travel accounting, compliance reporting, and DOE Reporting.
" Reviews and analyzes accounting data for compliance with policies, procedures, laws, regulations and DOE/NNSA requirements
" Interface and collaborate with the Finance Accounting and FP&A teams, Program Managers and Project Analysts, and Travelers, as needed.
" Process employee travel requests in compliance with federal regulations.
" Preferred - Experience with and/or exposure to Federal Travel Regulations.
" Experience with large travel platforms, preferred (Expense Anywhere, Concur, AdTrav, etc.)
" Assists with ServiceNow case management and LaunchPad tickets.
" Reconciles travel/payroll related accounts.
" Prepares and submits assigned journal entries and account reconciliations and maintain working papers required to record accounting activities.
" Maintains subsidiary ledgers to support accounting control data and reconciles account balances.
" Develops data to be used in determining cost variances. Analyze variances, prepare explanations, and investigate significant variances and account balances.
" Analyzes data to identify recurring problems, then investigates and recommends corrective action.
You Must Have (I think they have these requirements captured)
" Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance, and 2 years of relevant experience
" Ability to work remote, hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
" United States Citizenship
" Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job
" Ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations)
