Location: Phoenix, AZ 85027 (Hybrid - Tuesdays & Wednesdays will be in the office)

Location: Phoenix, AZ 85027 (Hybrid - Tuesdays & Wednesdays will be in the office)
Contract Role
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Account recovery
- Booking journal entries
- Sales and use tax compliance, including data gathering and analysis and return preparation
- Sales and use tax GL account reconciliations
- Product taxability reviews
- Tax research and interpretation of tax laws
WHAT WE ARE SEARCHING FOR:
- Four-year college degree in accounting or finance
- 2 or more years’ experience working with multi-state sales and use tax
- Manager will look at recent graduates who are eager to learn. Training will be provided
- Detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy
- Deadline driven
- Ability to perform tax technical research
- Self-motivated and ability to work independently with minimum supervision under rigid time constraints yet contribute as an overall team member when necessary
- Good analytical and organizational skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Honest/ trustworthy, exhibiting sound business
- Advanced level PC skills with knowledge of Windows & Microsoft software applications. Oracle (or similar ERP system) and Vertex experience a plus.
