Vaco is recruiting a temp-to-hire accounting analyst to join a growing client's team in Duluth, GA. We are looking for a staff accountant with great data skills seeking to pivot to an analytical role OR a financial analyst with an accounting background for this accounting analyst role.
Targeted salary for the role is $80K-$90K and our client's growth should afford the successful candidate with abundant growth opportunities. Plus, the hiring manager (Controller) is a terrific people leader.
The schedule is onsite for the first 6 months with the opportunity to move to hybrid (3 days onsite and 2 remote work-from-home days) after this initial training period. Also, this role is designed to turn permanent.
Responsibilities (this is summary level and representative):
- Financial modeling to calculate monthly revenue reported
- Review IT spend on projects and determine expected forecast spend versus budget.
- Assist Controller and CFO with Forecasts and Variance Analyses as well as budgeting.
- Ad-hoc Management reporting including pulling data from client's systems, formatting, calculating and presenting information to the leadership team
- Revenue journal entries and related accrual calculations
- Use Microsoft Excel to reconcile, update and analyze data, then monitor and follow up.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3+ years of relevant experience as an accountant or analyst (with an accounting background) in a semi-complex corporate setting.
- Must have strong analytical skills including advanced level Excel.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
