Job Title: Accounting Analyst
Reports To: Controller

In order to achieve this state of success, this position is responsible for various accounting and reporting functions with a focus on ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of financial statements while developing processes to promote efficiency.
Specific Accountabilities
- Deliver outstanding service to both internal and external service that meets or exceeds our Service Promises.
- Research and resolve complex accounting issues, including designing and/or improving accounting processes
- Collaborate on cross-functional teams to identify and drive continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and validate database reports using various report writing tools available
- Investigate and implement emerging technology solutions
- Analyze, dissect, and summarize both financial and non-financial information to find correlations and irregularities
- Manage and/or assist on special projects as assigned including the implementation of a new accounting software program
- Prepare various regulatory and financial reports to communicate financial information in a manner that can be used to direct operations, as well as comply with regulations
- Perform accounting functions and complex calculations and reconciliations
- General ledger, allocation and unit account maintenance to ensure accurate cost accounting
- Develop schedules and supporting documentation for internal/external auditors and examiners and work directly with them to facilitate audits and exams.
- Communicate complex topics to varying levels of management and staff (both written and verbal)
- Review, report and address financial variances and trends.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Excel
- Ability to learn and use various report writing software
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Must demonstrate a high sense of urgency and work ethic
- Ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Ability to work effectively in team environment
- Ability to conduct business in a professional and positive manner, exercising personal discretion and independent judgment
- Ability to work overtime as required to meet closing and project deadlines
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and exceptional organizational skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of FASB Accounting Rules and GAAP
- Eligibility to be bonded
