Accounting Assistant (VA, Chantilly) - SAVVEE CONSULTING INC

Savvee Consulting is seeking to hire an Accounting Assistant to support our corporate team and help grow our organization. Candidates will be required to work onsite at our headquarters location in Chantilly, VA in a hybrid onsite/telework schedule. This role requires candidates to have an understanding of account billable/receivable against multiple contracts, have some knowledge in federal regulations in regards to billing, and an understanding of federal regulations of timekeeping practices.

Essential Functions

• Assisting the finance department to include the following, accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing collections, cash receipts, and revenue recognition
• Following established procedures to prepare customer invoices
• Assisting the finance department in collecting customer payments in a timely manner
• Calculating, recording, and processing financial data by maintaining ledgers
• Utilizing the Deltek system for accounting and timekeeping
• Exercise knowledge of the fundamentals for federal government contracting and general accounting principles
• Demonstrating a commitment to quality and the growth of Savvee Consulting
